Parent Book Club
The Crown Point Community Library is excited to introduce the Parent Book Club, a quarterly discussion group designed to support parents and caregivers. This series invites families to engage with the Library’s resources while exploring parenting topics that promote mental health and well-being for children of all ages.
Purpose and Goals
The Parent Book Club provides an opportunity for parents to:
- Learn and grow as caregivers
- Gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their children
- Connect with fellow parents in a welcoming environment
- Build knowledge that contributes to a stronger, healthier community
Program Overview
The Parent Book Club meets on one Monday each quarter at the Crown Point Library. Each session features a book discussion centered on modern parenting, child development, and mental health.
To make participation easier for families, activities will be provided for children during the program:
- Ages 0–5: Toys and coloring pages in the same room as the discussion
- Ages 6–12: Staff-led activities in an adjacent room
Twenty copies of each book will be available for checkout at the Crown Point Library location, prior to each meeting, while supplies last. After the program, each book set will be added to the Library’s Book Club Kits to Go collection for community use.
