Calling Young Artists: Enter the 2025 Peace Poster Contest!

The Crown Point Lions Club and the Crown Point Community Public Library invite local youth to participate in the 2025 Lions International Peace Poster Contest!

This year’s theme, “Together As One,” celebrates the power of unity and peace through art. The contest encourages young artists to express how working together can make the world a better place.

Who Can Enter:

• Students ages 11, 12, or 13 on November 15, 2025, who live in the Crown Point or Winfield area.

Deadline:

• Entries must be turned in to the Crown Point Library by 5 p.m. on November 9, 2025.
• Entries will not be accepted after the deadline.

Judging & Awards:

• A special committee of judges will evaluate submissions based on originality, artistic merit, and expression of the theme.
• At the local level, the top three posters will be recognized and receive awards from the Crown Point Lions Club. The first-place winning poster will advance to the district level for a chance to compete internationally. Artists of posters advancing to the international level judging are recognized as follows:
  • International Grand Prize Winner receives a trip to an award ceremony where he/she will receive US$5,000 (or local equivalent) and an award. Two family members (one being the winner’s parent or legal guardian) and the sponsoring Lions club president or a club member (as designated by the club president) are invited to accompany the winner to the award ceremony.
  • 23 Merit Award Winners each receive US$500 (or local equivalent) and a certificate of achievement.
• Local winners will be announced on November 14, 2025, and recognized at an awards presentation by the Crown Point Lions Club at the Crown Point Library on November 18, 2025. More details to come.
