5th Annual Literary Luncheon
The Friends of the Crown Point Community Library 5th Annual Literary Luncheon will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The event will take place at the St. Matthias Hall, 101 W. Burrell Drive in Crown Point, and will include a presentation by New York Best Selling Author, Kate Collins, a sit-down lunch, and raffle drawings for gift baskets.
Tickets to the event are $25 per person and are on sale now at the Crown Point Community Library. The tickets includes the lunch and presentation. A book signing will follow the presentation. Cash or check made payable to the Friends of the Crown Point Library.
This luncheon is just one of the many ways the Friends of the Crown Point Library raise funds to support the Crown Point Library and to provide intimate interactions between community members and quality authors.
About the Author:
Kate Collins is the New York Times bestselling author of the Flower Shop Mystery series. An Indiana native, Kate graduated from Purdue University with a master’s degree in education. She taught elementary school for six years, but after the birth of her first child, gave up teaching to pursue a long-time dream of putting her stories to paper.
After publishing a series of short children’s stories, she sold her first historical romantic suspense novel in 1995. Seven romance novels later, she switched to her true love, mysteries. Kate is very proud that The Flower Shop Mystery series was named The Best Continuing Cozy Mystery Series for 2013 by popular online review site Escape with Dollycas.
All of Kate’s mysteries are available in print, digital, and large-print editions both in the U.S. and in the UK. Kate’s historical romances and children’s anthologies are also available in digital format at Amazon, B&N, and other e-book sellers.
When not growing roots at her computer; Kate loves to garden. Other passions include yoga, travel, decorating, reading, spending time with family and friends, sampling great wines and fine dark chocolate, and enjoying every moment of life. The author lives in Northwest Indiana and Key West, Florida.
