Local Authors Visit the Library

The Library is excited to have two local authors visit the library during Library Card Sign Up month. Please join us for these free events; both visits will be at the Crown Point location.

On Saturday, September 15 at 10 a.m. Sharon Griffin, RN, Ph.D., and her little dog, Abby will read and discuss her new book, Come With Me and Visit a Hospital. This informative program will include discussion about Ms. Griffin’s experiences working as a nurse in a hospital.  The first 20 families registered will receive the book’s companion coloring book. On Thursday, September 27 at 4:15 p.m. for local author James Dwokin will read from his new book Red’s Nature Adventures. Beautifully illustrated by Munster artist Michael Chelich, the story is set in the real-life northwestern Indiana nature preserves of Shirley Heinze Land Trust.

Books will be available for purchase and signing beginning at 3:30 p.m.
