Tee-time at the Crown Point
Calling all avid readers and avid golfers! Mark your
calendars- miniature golf
is coming to the Crown Point Community Library.
The first annual “A Hole Lot of Fun” mini golf event will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013
from 10 – 3 p.m. The new library will be transformed into an 18-hole miniature putting course for the
day. The course will be set up throughout the first and second floors, including a special “19th Hole” in the
meeting rooms that will feature refreshments, games, raffles and more!
For the bargain price of only $5 a player or $20 for a group of five, golfers will
have a “hole lot of fun” winding their way through book stacks, hallways, reading
areas and stairwells.
The library will be open for business during its normal Saturday hours, 9 – 5 p.m. Although there
will be extra hubbub from the golfers and their fans, library staff will make every effort to provide the usual
high level of service that our community expects.
Proceeds from this event will support programming and events for children,
teens and adults at both the Crown Point Library and Winfield Branch Library.
The library would like to thank these early sponsors for supporting this fun event.
